From 1968 to 2003, Cadbury ran a long-running TV advert series in which a mysterious, tuxedo-clad man performed dangerous stunts — scaling cliffs, escaping explosions, parachuting — purely to deliver a box of Milk Tray to a woman, closing on the line "and all because the lady loves Milk Tray." It's one of the most recognisable and longest-running ad campaigns in UK confectionery history, and for a lot of people it's the main reason the name still rings a bell today.
