Polo

Polo launched in 1948, the brainchild of George Harris — the same Rowntree's man behind KitKat, Smarties and Aero — who'd been inspired before the war by the American mint Life Savers. The "hole" name is reportedly a shortening of "Polar", chosen for its cool, fresh connotations.
