Collection: Rowntree's

Rowntree's has been making sweets in York since 1862, when Henry Rowntree bought a small cocoa works and was later joined by his brother Joseph. Fruit Pastilles, the company's first sweet, launched in 1881 and made up a quarter of Rowntree's output within six years; Jelly Tots followed in 1965. Nestlé bought Rowntree's in 1988 after the largest takeover battle in British corporate history at the time, and kept the Rowntree's name for its UK fruit confectionery range — which is what you'll find here.
