Collection: Werther's Original

Werther's Original takes its name from the small German town of Werther, where confectioner Gustav Nebel perfected the recipe in 1909 using fresh cream, real butter and slow-cooked sugar. The Storck family company that makes it still manufactures nearby, in Halle, and the international "Werther's Original" name only replaced the German "Werthers Echte" branding in the 1990s. The recipe itself hasn't changed.

What we actually stock: the classic Butter Candies 110g bag and the 50g Rolls, the Sugar Free Caramel Butter Candies Box 42g and Sugar Free Creamy Toffees Bag 65g for a no-added-sugar option, and the softer Soft Eclairs Bag 100g for a chewier take on the same butter-toffee flavour. All five are in stock now.
