Starburst

Starburst launched in the UK in 1959 as Opal Fruits, named by a competition winner who took home £5 for the idea. It kept that name for nearly 40 years until a 1998 global rebrand — despite public protest — brought it in line with the US name, Starburst, adopted back in 1968.
