If you've landed here searching for Chupa Chups, it's worth being upfront: we don't stock the classic lollipop on a stick. What we do carry under the Chupa Chups name is Big Babol — a soft bubble gum rather than a lollipop. It's a genuine Chupa Chups-branded product, just not the one most searchers have in mind, so here's exactly what it is before you add it to your basket.
Chupa Chups Big Babol Blue Raspberry Bubble Gum — Case of 20
A soft, chewy blue raspberry bubble gum that blows a genuinely large bubble and turns your tongue bright blue as you chew — the tongue-painting effect is as much the appeal as the flavour. It's made in Turkey, contains soya, and is sold here as a special-order case of 20 individual 27.6g packs, usually arriving within about two weeks at the same price as our regular range. See Chupa Chups Big Babol Blue Raspberry Bubble Gum 27.6g — Case of 20 for current availability.
Why Big Babol Carries the Chupa Chups Name
Chupa Chups was founded in 1958 by Enric Bernat, a Spanish businessman who took over a struggling jam factory and turned it into a lollipop company — famously putting the sweet on a stick specifically so children's hands and clothes stayed clean, and later commissioning Salvador Dalí to design the brand's now-iconic logo in 1969. Big Babol is a different lineage entirely: a soft bubble gum created by the Italian company Perfetti in the 1970s, well before Perfetti Van Melle formed as a merged group in 2001. Chupa Chups was then bought by Perfetti Van Melle in 2006, bringing both brands under one roof. That shared ownership is why some Big Babol packaging and export lines, including the one we stock, carry the Chupa Chups name alongside it — it's a genuine part of the family, just not the lollipop.
