Tobermory is the main town on the Isle of Mull, with a population of around 1,000 — best known for the painted buildings along Main Street, made famous nationally when the BBC children's series Balamory was filmed there in the early 2000s.
Main Street's own sweet shop
Behind the bright paintwork, Main Street holds a proper working high street: a bakery, a pharmacy, a post office, a Co-op general store, several craft shops selling pottery, wood and jewellery, a bookshop — and, among them, a dedicated sweet shop and a separate chocolate shop. At the western end of the street sits Tobermory Distillery, dating to 1798 and one of Scotland's oldest.
What that leaves out
A Main Street sweet shop built for passing visitors is suited to a gift bag, not a 3kg bulk order, a trade case for an event, or a dedicated vegan or halal-friendly range — that's a different scale of order than a single shop is set up to hold in stock.
Why "sweets near me" in Tobermory still points to a delivery
For anything beyond what Main Street's sweet shop keeps on its shelves, ordering online and having it delivered is the more consistent route, wherever on Mull you're based.
