Discontinued in 2014, back in 2025
Mars Wrigley originally sold white chocolate Maltesers in the UK, then delisted the line in 2014 citing low sales. It stayed off shelves for over ten years, regularly named by shoppers as a discontinued sweet they wanted back, until Mars Wrigley confirmed a relaunch and brought it back to UK retail from June 2025, citing demand from fans.
What's actually different about it
The centre hasn't changed — it's the same malted honeycomb core that makes a Malteser a Malteser. What changes is the shell: a thin white chocolate coating instead of the classic milk chocolate one, which makes the overall sweetness and creaminess noticeably different even though the crunch is identical.
What we actually stock
We carry the Maltesers White Chocolate Gift Box 88g as a wholesale case. Like several of our Maltesers lines, it's a special-order item with around a two-week lead time rather than something held in fast-dispatch stock, but it is genuinely available to order. A white chocolate truffle also appears in our Maltesers Assorted Truffles White, Dark and Milk Chocolate Gift Box, alongside dark and milk versions, if you want to try it as part of a mix rather than on its own.
